Recreate this classic English Garden Cocktail in the comfort of your own home this weekend and enjoy the refreshing taste of gin mixed with a juicy cloudy apple juice and sweet elderflower cordial.
Creating cocktails on a weekend is my new favourite lockdown hobby. I love being able to create my favourite drinks from the comfort of my own home, not only because they are cheaper but I enjoy a drink or two in the comfort of my own home.
I first had this English Garden cocktail on a rainy afternoon at my local Cosy-Club restaurant. It felt quintessentially British cosied up with a gin cocktail and a slice of cake. It was so refreshing and light I couldn’t resist recreating it at home.
To make this English Garden Cocktail you only need 5 ingredients – gin, apple juice, elderflower cordial, ice and a slice of cucumber. I would recommend cloudy apple juice but any apple juice will do.
Elderflower cordial gives this drink a refreshing summer vibe and pair very well with the apple juice.
This recipe is dairy, gluten and nut-free. To ensure it is nut-free, make sure you pick a gin that is free from allergens. Some gins are infused with botanicals or made in an unsuitable environment.
If you can’t find a nut-free gin easily you can replace the gin with vodka or another chosen spirit, or even try this recipe as a mocktail.
